Although the Gary Bean Securities team invests primarily in Canadian companies we may invest anywhere in the world and depending on market conditions may shift emphasis from one industry sector to another.

Within each sector of the market our team looks for common share investments that are inexpensive relative to their growth potential. Specifically, we are looking for companies that have growth rates that are greater than their current price to earning multiple. Using a bottom-up investment approach we will select companies that have the best combination of relative valuation, growth potential, competitive positioning and management ability.

To aid us in the search for such companies our firm accesses some of the most sophisticated research tools in the world. We have access to the entire analyst teams of National Bank Financial in Canada and Credit Swiss First Boston in the United States. Furthermore, we frequently obtain fundamental data from Thomson Financial and technical analysis from Investors Business Daily.

But probably most importantly we access the expertise of Toronto based institutional advisor Computerized Portfolio Management Services - CPMS - for analysis of the Canadian market.
